WHO'S WHO

Our people make our club and create the community we are so proud of. Without the contributions, loyalty and support from our fantastic coaches, team members, parents and volunteers we would not be the club we are today.

HEAD COACH

Sharron Lewis-Burke
Head Coach
Level 2 Coach & C Umpire

Sharron Lewis-Burke joined the club in 2003 as player/coach, becoming head-coach when she retired from playing in 2009.

With over 25 years of playing and coaching experience Sharron instils confidence, motivation and inspires her athletes to be the best that they can be — on and off the court. Having been a successful Surrey County 100m sprint athlete in her youth she knows what it takes to succeed in the world of professional sport.

Sharron regularly dedicates 20+ hours per week to running the club — this in addition to her full-time job as a netball coach, as well as being a wife and mother of four.

ASSISTANT COACHES

Andrea Lewis-Burke
Level 1 Coach
Having not played any sport since leaving school and college Andrea joined Crystal Palace Netball club in 1998 and now plays in our first team.

Over the years she has had some amazing experiences through netball, all across the UK, which she believes she would never have done if it wasn’t for the sport.

Her love for the sport enticed her into coaching and she is proud to part of an amazing coaching team, watching the girls grow and the reward she gets from giving back is second to none.

Charmaine Forrester
Level 1 Coach | C Award Umpire
Charmaine has been playing for Crystal Palace Netball Club since 2001 and began assisting with the juniors in 2006. CPNC has inspired Charmaine to go on to coach netball in schools and “Back to Netball” as well as umpiring as a profession.

As Charmaine says “Crystal Palace has been a way of life, its in my blood – “Red and Blue!”

Tasha Lawson
Assistant Coach
Tasha joined our coaching team in 2016 but she has been coaching since 2008. With a degree in sports science and coaching she brings lots of experience to CPNC. Tasha has a great passion for netball, both as a player and as a Junior Coach.
Michelle Ossei-Gerning
Assistant Coach | Working towards Level 1 Coach and C Award Umpire
A previous school athlete and ballgirl for Wimbledon, Michelle has been playing netball since aged 11 through both school and university. In 2015, following trials, Michelle was selected for the England Indoor Netball Aged Ladies Team to compete in the World Series Tournament in Australia and adds 1 cap to her name.

At CPNC, Michelle is in the 1st Team and plays in defence. She supports “Team D” on and off court alongside the team captain. Michelle has been part of the Junior Coaching Team since April 2016, and enjoys being part of the Club’s committee.

Justine Norris
Assistant Coach | C Award Umprire
Justine joined the club in 2008. At the age of 11 she was the Club’s youngest member. She worked her way up the academy ladder; from satellite’s elite academy, to Surrey County, then to the London and South East Regional squad in 2015. She puts these achievements down to her progression at CPNC. She is working towards her C award in umpiring. She has been coaching since 2014.

Becoming a junior coach has really involved her in the club and given her responsibility. She loves to train and see the girls’ progression.
